My passion for skin care and aesthetics was ignited when I was 12 years old and still lived in Austria, my homeland. I was introduced to the sister of a family friend, and it was this introduction that changed the course of my life. I will never forget how in awe I was as this woman told me about her career as an aesthetician. She embodied intelligence, beauty, and grace. I knew I’d found my calling as well as I knew my own name, and I have devoted nearly a lifetime to the field of Aesthetics.
The ongoing global evolution of this industry has kept me hungry for more knowledge and education. I was very lucky to have started my career in Europe where skin care training and licensure have a strong foundation in medicine. When I came to the United States 30 years ago, my European training allowed me to take advantage of the wealth of educational opportunities that have revolutionized the skin care industry over the past few decades. My ongoing quest to integrate my European training with next-generation technology in the beauty industry has made my career all the more fulfilling.
We are all blessed to live in a time when our beauty can be illuminated by the forefront of technology and medical skincare, and I am honored to share this privilege with anyone seeking it.

RIA
Ria has been our social media and marketing assistant for many years. As Monika’s daughter, Ria has a unique vision that integrates European esthetic expertise with next-generation skin care techniques. She works diligently behind the scenes to make sure Monika Stone Skin is visible to our World Wide Web community.
LOUISE
Louise has had a lifelong passion for skin care. Like most people, she has had skin issues throughout the years, and so she understands struggles that come with conditions such as acne, pigmentation issues (melasma), and pesky fine lines.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Louise originally worked in Silicon Valley’s high-tech industry, and so she can relate to the stress created by this area’s 24x7 lifestyle. She understands how hectic schedules, family demands, and traffic can take a toll on our skin, body, and mind, throwing off our work-life balance and making it difficult to make time for self care.
Louise decided to pursue a full-time career in esthetics while she was still in high tech, when she walked into her esthetician’s office and felt her stress melting away in the face of her esthetician’s calm demeanor. It was at this pivotal moment that Louise knew in her heart that she wanted to do the same for other people.
Louise’s second “aha” moment came during her esthetics training, when she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Days after her diagnosis, she saw an ad for oncology esthetics training. At that moment, she knew what her purpose in life was, and became certified as an Oncology Trained Esthetician.
BETSY
Betsy has been a part of the team at Monika Stone Skin since 2016, providing her services in financial management and IT operations. When she’s not occupied by her graduate studies at Stanford University, Betsy enjoys streamlining business operations and helping Monika implement her non-profit vision for adolescent acne treatment and education.

KATHY WRIGHT, RN
Kathy Wright has practiced as a registered nurse in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1982. Her experience is extensive and multidimensional. She is in the top 5% of injection specialists across the nation who have earned platinum status in Botox and Restylane sales. As a founding member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists, Kathy devotes herself to continuing education and ongoing professional growth. She is a member of the National Cosmetic Tattoo Association and donates her time to ReSurge International, a non-profit organization that provides reconstructive surgical care and builds surgical capacity in developing countries. Her travels have taken her to Vietnam, Central America and South America.
